What do you guys think of ChiTownCliff's contraction idea? Here it is if you haven't seen it: http://tshq.co/2011/10/addition-by- subtraction-a-nba-blueprint/ In my opinion, I don't see how less games and less teams is supposed to bring up attendance and revenues. Every sport has meaningless games. That's just the nature of the game. If we're going to have groups of All-Stars teaming up and forming their own superteams, then the NBA is going to be watered down to a certain extent, regardless if there are 25, 26, or 30 teams in the league. Look at the NHL. Hockey is even more of a rough-and-tumble sport than basketball. Unless I'm missing something, you didn't see them decrease their number of game during their lockout, did you? For me personally, sometimes it's nice watching a Jazz/Kings game as opposed to the same, recycled matchups involving the Celtics, Lakers, Knicks, Heat, Bulls, and Thunder. Cliff still never responded to my counterment. Maybe he has a hard time admitting his logic is flawed. Category: NBA Tags: contraction
